You can follow any links from this site you wish, but don't forget to watch the video at the bottom of the webpage! Answer these questions in your notes to complete this first step: 1. Have you ever learned via retrieval practice? 2. If you have used retrieval practice, when and why did you use the technique? 3. If you have not used retrieval practice, explain how you might learn someone's phone number this way (does anyone remember anyone's phone number any more?!) Step 2: Evaluating Your Learning Toolbox 1. Read the chapter overviews of various learning techniques from the book, "Make it Stick: The Science of Successful Learning" by Peter C. Brown, Henry L. After reading the chapter overviews, choose your favorite 2 learning techniques from those listed and write a short description in your notes of how you will use each one this semester to be successful in A&P.
